You can tell when someone starts following you on Instagram by looking at your follower list. If they’re not on the list, they probably started following you recently.
You can’t see who someone started following on Instagram, but you can see who they’re currently following.

The order of your followers on Instagram is not set in stone. You can change the order by following and unfollowing people, but you cannot manually reorder them.
The following order is a list of accounts that have followed the account you are viewing. You can see this list by clicking on “Following” in the left-hand navigation bar on an Instagram profile page.
If you want to see if someone is following in chronological order, you can use the Twitter app.
You can see what your boyfriend likes on Instagram by following him. You can also use the hashtag #relationshipgoals to find posts of couples that you follow.
Sign in to your Instagram account and go to the “following” tab. You can then scroll through the list of people you are following to see if any of them are private and not following you back.
The order of a person’s Instagram posts is determined by the number of likes on the post. The more likes, the higher up on the list they are.
