The iPhone 7 doesn’t have a home button, but you can still take a screenshot by pressing the power and volume down button simultaneously.
I’m not sure if this has been fixed in a recent update, but I had the same issue with my iPhone 7. The solution was to go into accessibility settings and turn on “Assistive Touch.
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus do not have a home button. To take a screenshot on the iPhone 7, press the volume up button and power button at the same time.
To capture a screenshot of your iPhone screen, press the power button on top of the device and the home button at the same time. A camera shutter sound will play to confirm that a screenshot was taken.
To enable screenshots, go to Settings > System > Enable Screenshots.
To change screenshot settings on an iPhone 7, go to Settings > General > Accessibility. In the “Interacting” section, you can adjust the settings for the AssistiveTouch button and Screenshot. The AssistiveTouch button can be set to take a screenshot by holding it down for three seconds. Alternatively, you can set it to take a screenshot by tapping it twice.
The screenshot is not working because the screen has been locked. To take a screenshot, you need to press the power button and the home button at the same time.
Some devices may have a built-in screenshot shortcut. For example, on an iPhone you can press the power button and the home button at the same time to take a screenshot.
To screenshot on an iPhone without a volume button, press and hold the power button and the home button at the same time for about 2 seconds.
