There is no automatic way to save photos from Messenger to your phone. You will need to manually save each photo.
If you’re using the default messaging app on your phone, your photos are probably stored in the “Messenger” app folder on your phone.
To find saved items from Messenger, open the app and go to your account settings. On the left side of the screen, under “Saved Messages,” you’ll see a list of all your messages. Select a message and you’ll see all the content attached to that message, including photos, videos, and documents.
Facebook Messenger pictures are stored on the device that sent them, not on Facebook. If you delete the picture from your device, it will also be deleted from Facebook.
