The answer to how to reset the Nether isn’t an easy one, and for Bedrock players there is no answer at all.

Unfortunately it is not possible to reset your Nether in Bedrock, or any other part of your world(s). You will have to start a new world to really dig into Minecraft 1.16 if you are playing on Bedrock (which means Xbox, PS4, mobile, and Nintendo Switch players are out of luck here).

How to Reset the Nether in Minecraft Java Edition

Java players do have the ability to reset their Nether, but you’ll have to use an external tool to do the deed.

MCA Selector is the Java community’s primary tool for singling out large sections of a world and deleting or resetting it. Actually using MCA Selector seems unwieldy, but after a few tests you should be able to use it at your discretion.

The above GitHub page goes over how to use MCA Selector, and links to a couple of helpful videos. Watch this one below to further understand this tool and how to use it to get your Java world ready for 1.16.

In addition to the above video, read these tips directly from the tool developer for preparing your Nether for Minecraft 1.16.
